Le compte-rendu : 2 Août Nav 12 (mise à jour : 22 févr. 2022)
We begin the navigations by which we had planned to begin the trip, a month earlier.
We leave this time with the objective of reaching an island never accosted. The distance slightly exceeds 30kms.
We are not nostalgic for bitumen.
So when we cross a city like Puumala, it is never with the idea of stopping there, it would only be necessary that we need something essential or that something forces us to do so.
It's even a very mixed feeling to go so little unnoticed !
The planned navigation reaches 30 kilometers and we don't want to disperse.
The bridge has an elevator that our feelings are wary of.
The seagull and the sheep.
The drone revolves around us, memorizing our pleasure that prowls everywhere.
Amélie hold back my liner while I put the drone away, otherwise it'll go into a spin.
Another great day for the wood industry !
but wood is sold in eco-friendly fashion, like electric cars which, when they will be in the majority, will require a few additional nuclear power stations to be able to provide them with the battery charge !
It never stops, every day we come across several, sometimes empty or filled to the brim like this one !
Petroleum souls are constantly proliferating.
I send the drone while we are still on the other side of the island, and discovering this beach and the fire place, it is already certain that it will be soothing.
Motorboats are prohibited from docking on this island which is a protected natural area like there are so many in Finland.
At first glance it may seem common,
but with a little retreat and height,
we quickly realize that this island,
is a gem.
We would stay two days but the north attracts us and we do not want to break the dynamic in which we are.
The next morning, 4 a.m., the wind sweeps everything away.
The morning light is still insane.
All day the wind will blow and it's still lucky to be at rest today !
Many flares appear depending on the rotation of the camera.
Frames of foam.
Another island that sticks in my memory like an escape.
My country is life.
Then at 4:30 am the light atmosphere is already not the same, the routine has started, I go back to bed.
Buried in my duvet, the images of the drone bring me back to the insignificance of our existence.
A day of rest listening to the wind and the waves.
All the trees are well shaken and it's lying warm ins our duvets as we enjoy the spectacle through the mosquito nets.
The temperatures have returned to normal for the season and it is now difficult to swim without asking questions !
It's still a subtle beauty.
Then falling asleep to the sounds of the elements that leave no room for silence is Mother Nature's ultimate hug !
Some gusts are really scary, and we know that in canoes, against the wind, we wouldn't get far.
We have to leave tomorrow, we will have the wind at our back and it will still be well supported.
So Amélie, can you still imagine sailing without your sailing jacket in such weather ?!
