Le compte-rendu : Lakeistenranta Camping (mise à jour : 12 févr. 2022)
Tout ce qui rapproche les gens ne tiens jamais compte de la distance qui les sépare.
Our friends Israfil & Tarja know that we are coming, we have always stayed in touch by whatsapp for the past two years and seeing each other in reality sometimes seems unreal to us.
The best place on the campsite for a tent is offered to us, and we arrive laden with gifts: 18 bottles of wine to go around France with several kilos of cheese to do the same! But also honeys, chocolate galore, salted butter caramel, champagne to celebrate our birthdays and a lot of other stuff that we don't make a single image that we would throw on facebook to show that we are nice !
Israfil & Tarja are completely caught up in the activity of the campsite and we are focused on the final preparations, we only pass each other during these first five days, our reunions are a little bastard but it is normal in this summer period during which everyone leads his boat relentlessly.
Our wandering conditions have reached a certain standard, but it is the idea of living comfortably outside that drives us and not that of going on an adventure. I also have the idea of testing the capabilities of the big canoe by taking 4 months of food with us, knowing that our trip will only last three months maximum.
The small foldable table placed on the large one is tinkered with the remains of the chair, broken in 2019, and our old small tables; the whole is clamped to the post!

Amelie's canoe had remained stored at the campsite and the Kevlar reinforcements need to be changed, I brought everything needed to do it here, it's exhilarating for me.
Israfil & Tarja tell us that we should consider camping as our second home, so we will make sure to wait until it becomes essential to use it that way!
The Kevlar reinforcements and the knee wedges are purchased from Canoediffusion, and Pierre Orban, who is a nice trader, offered me the two bottles of dyes, placed on the canoe, to be able to tint the resin.
The result is concrete, especially since I use sticky resin to finish, in full catalysation, to thicken the epoxy layer which, in the end, covers the Kevlar by several millimeters.
Just like gas, sweetened condensed milk, vacuum-packed pq, dried fruit: cashews, almonds, hazelnuts and canned semi-salted butter, in the sun!
Chocolate bars, peanut butter, cashew butter, almond butter, honeys,....
Chocolate, oil, freeze-dried dishes... the oil bottles that remain in stock are wrapped in plastic to limit any damage.
Sous vide pancake flour for 4 months and dehydrated soups...
30 kilos of energy bars, I know it's too much but you always have to keep a minimum weight at the front of the canoes, so it's just pragmatic.
These bars can be kept for 20 years and buying them in bulk allows you to negotiate a nice reduction!

11 kg of vacuum-packed dried fruits in 300 gr and 600 gr and boxed butter always in the sun!
Vacuum-packed wholemeal bread, soups,
Your problem is such that it is visible on your face.
Henaff pâté and sardines in a 90 liter bag. Still too much but still for the weight advantage in the canoes.
It took us 5 days to prepare the loading, the organization of the bags as well as our minds.
I had to take the time to write an appeal email to the academy because we couldn't leave without doing so.

Everyone too busy, we spent very little time together for our reunion, but I know that I can count on Israfil & Tarja to let me know when they have received the package during the month of July.
What a pleasure to load a canoe without taking the lead! it is so big that everything fits without any difficulty, however the weight becomes totally crazy and we are supposed to carry 60 km during this trip, since a loop is planned... We'll see...
Already I have trouble lifting some bags individually, so the whole thing is even becoming difficult to launch... doing a portage seems Herculean to me... I have never tested this canoe on the lake so close to home...I had the idealistic idea of wanting to take this canoe on water only in Finland.
The departure always remains a moment which takes on a legitimate feverishness, but we know that we must act without thinking too much, each departure is anticipated and experienced beforehand, the day before in our heads.
We have six waterproof suitcases dedicated to drone and video gear, and yet I already know when it's time to leave that it's going to be a pain in the neck to force myself to capture images on a daily basis... but some neuroses need time to become distressing.
We opted for two crates to put in the tent... tired of looking at the bottom of a bag for the food of the day.
You open a crate and everything appears in your field of vision at first glance, and it's restful for the mind, which doesn't have to constantly look for where it has put things.
